I borrowed Carol Duvall's awesome book, called Paper Crafting with Carol Duvall, from my library and couldn't resist playing a little. I thought I would make some things for my grandchildren.
First I was taken with the creation of a book: You start with an A4 piece of paper and fold it so there are 16 equal sized rectangles. Then with the paper in portrait direction you cut through 3 squares on the top horizontal fold from the right. Next you cut along the second fold line but from the opposite side. Then back to the right side for the final cut on the fold. Super quick and with a little glue and some card stock for a cover. Voila!
Hector's puzzle was also cool but easier. I used a page from last years wall calendar and cut a square then began folding and cutting...
This is a blog about quilting and my creative life. I am mostly a quilter but I do dabble in all things crafty from time to time which is probably why I have such a pile of UFOs

My Journal
I had a great visit with my cousin and she insisted honestly, she did! ) that we clean up my old sewing room (which was in the basement ) It was a time of enlightenment for me. I discovered that I have a habit of drawing in books. There were sure a lot of them. Some full some not but still quite a few. So I thought I might share some of what I've done here.
It seems I'm quite addicted to this sort of thing.

Crafty Girl
So here she is with her new easter Mr Potato Head. So cute. She had to instantly take the pink tissue paper and make a dress for her new doll. Success I think.
