Napkins

I also made some napkins to go in the kitchen with the orange placemats.

I made them with lots of pressing and I even trimmed the corners.  First I used the Jinny Beyer perfect piecer tool and fold and press the mitres.

After trimming the corner to reduce bulk, and more pressing

The mitres were perfect if I do say so...

Kambucca decanted

My DD gifted me a scooby to make my own kambucca. I was pretty excited but nervous.  Tea, hmmm, with sugar in it... sits on the counter for a week with this yeast scooby in it and what do you get....

Turns out - its good and good for you.  My first batch.

New Old Projects from my Mom

While visiting my Mom, she offered me some of her projects to complete.  Although I was hesitant - heaven knows I have lots of my own - I took a couple.

It has been a long time since I have had a new apron.  This was a panel.  It went together quickly and I am very happy with how it looks.  I don't wear aprons so I'm not sure what I will do with it but it's done.

And one more thing...

Maybe I should quit and work on the wall hangings but I just can't seem to stop...

Beginning a Kitchen wall Hanging

The new dishes for the kitchen have arrived and they are very cheery.

I like the orange stripe a lot.  They of course require new wall hangings and placemats, right?

 - This is the base for some hand applique. The photo shows the wrong side of the applique block.

Can you see the outline of the applique?  I will keep you posted on the progress.
