Still Knitting

I am still working on this little tank top.  It is a bit slow.  I guess I take too many breaks.  Or is it all the people I follow on Instagram...

However it is the project is progressing from here to here...

 Pretty. huh?

Basketing Around Finished

It was pretty intense, but with a few long hours at my machine in the dining room, I got it done.  I even powered through the hand sewn binding while watching free videos from Quilt Con.  It was really interesting to hear about the Amy and David Butler team.  They are amazing.

Here it is...

Hand applique, machine quilting, bright colours

The echo quilting in the borders is very rewarding but time consuming.  I am happy I did it though.

basket, quilt block, green, red

This might be my favourite block.  I loved how the colours came together.

And now...

hand applique, machine quilted

Is that too much or what.  I think I made my brightest quilt ever.  And I designed it all myself too.

Wow, Caroline worked hard,
Look at these...
paper pieced star blocks, tree blocks, ruffle

the one on the right is the one we/she was working on at my house.  Now they are done.  Too cute.

Sewing a shell for me.

While perusing a rabbit trail on the internet, I saw this shell top.  It showed up as a freebie on Collette Patterns I liked it a lot and I was just lamenting that I had no summer things that were new.  Well I downloaded the pattern that afternoon and did the sewing yesterday although my son called me a troll for staying in my basement studio all morning.  It was worth it.  I am very pleased with the result.

This fabric is 100% cotton and I used the scraps to make the bias binding.   Mr had brought it back from Ankora, Turkey and it just hadn't fit in yet to a quilt...

Now as for the troll thing - aren't they about bridges....
