Walking among the flowers

In the last couple of weeks, we traveled to Ontario to visit my sister.  What a great time we had.  The smoked fish was wonderful.  And we were entertained by Wendy's wonderful musical renditions.  She is very talented.

We walked in the nearby provincial park where Stephen Leacock is buried.  He is our most famous humour writer.

It was so peaceful even though it was a Saturday and you can't see it but Lake Simcoe is just past those trees in the background, lapping against the rocks.

Through this lovely gate and on to the trilliums blanketing the forest floor.  The trillium is the provincial flower of Ontario.

I see a small bag in my future

A friend made me this lovely tooled wrist strap.  I can hardly wait to make a bag to go with it.  Alex did a lovely job.  Anyone interested in procuring a strap similar to this can leave me a comment and I will hook you up with Alex.

I took the pic with my wool wristers.  I just made up the pattern for them as I went along.  They are wool so nice and toasty.

It's Been Cold, I've Been...

Ok, it is warmer now but it has been pretty cold here for a couple of weeks and that always inspires me to knit.  I even found this pattern from Canadian Living for this super simple scarf and I just happened to have a couple of balls of Baby Bamboo and some 4.5 mm needles.  Wow, it was definitely a 'God thing' . Take a look...
