A webby delusion I think.  I'm not liking these blocks.  Too low contrast and boring...

I think they will be moving to the junk pile.

I am very happy with these.  Super cute.  I will power on with the block units.

Triangles in Red

More pressing, more pressing.  Just thought I would show you what a maverick I am with my seams pressed open.  It makes more sense to me and I feel the finished product is flatter.  Course it does take longer to press.  Those seam allowances don't always want to separate for me but I persevere.

Serendipity Bags by Kay Whitt

This is an amazing book.  I am going out right now to get that thick iron on interfacing she recommends.  I will have to try one of these then...

Half Square Triangles a la Jo Morton

I watched  a PVRed episode of Fons & Porter and Jo Morton was the guest.  She demo-ed this clever way to make half-square triangles.  I liked it and tried to do it too.

I don't quite know where this is going  but I LOVE having this basket full of blocks.  In my world where quilts are not in great demand (Even though I live in Canada we are not freezing) it is a wonderful thing to celebrate every step of the quiltmaking process.

My DH found this fabric while we were in the states and insisted that I must make a new flap for my sisters wheelchair bag.  I tried to girl it up with the ruffles and it's actually sideways.  (Now that the pic is here I can't seem to re-orientate it.)

Oldie but a goodie
