Knit Scarf

So I finally finished this scarf for my son's Birthday, so off it goes to it's new home.  I used a bamboo/silk blend.  It is so soft and drapeable.

So I got this from the library and I am working with this cute little block...

Clever tricks...

It starts out easy with 2 1/2 inch strips...

Then on to nine patches....

Then cross  cut...you get the picture....

Just us Chickens

The hand quilting is done I think, although I may add more.  I just drew a star burst from the centre rooster radiating out.  Now for the binding....

Pinwheel Wall Hanging

This main colour fabric was picked out by my DH at Shirley's in Moosomin, Saskatchewan.  

This was lots of fun to make and I'm really pleased with the result.

New dress for my granddaughter

While we were in the states in October I visited Country Quilts & Bears in Clearwater, Florida and found this Thomas the Tank Engine fabric.  My original plan was for something not well thought out but when I got it home I realized I had to make something for our little girl so I 'pinked it up' and she loved it.
